Werner Holzwarth

Werner Holzwarth

Werner Holzwarth was born in Winnenden near Stuttgart, studied communication at the HdK in Berlin and worked first as a copywriter and later as the creative director for large international advertising agencies. After two years freelancing as a journalist he set up his own advertising agency in South America; and in the period 1995-2012 he was a professor for visual communication at the Bauhaus University in Weimar. 1989 saw the publication of his first picture book bestseller "About the Little Mole Who Wanted to Know Who Peed on his Head". Werner Holzwarth has been giving himself over entirely to children's and young-adult literature since 2012 and goes on reading tours.
